Our founder, Dr Stefan Kolimechkov, has just been accepted to present scientific research at the most prestigious conference in sports science and sports medicine in the world.

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting is the top conference worldwide, attended by around 6 000 experts in the sport and medicine fields every year. This year, the conference will be held at the  Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States at the end of May 2025.

Stefan was very excited to learn that his scientific abstract was accepted as a poster presentation at the ACSM Annual Meeting in Atlanta.

‘I am looking forward to attending the ACSM conference for the second time after presenting in Boston, MA, USA, last year at the 72nd edition of the ACSM Meeting.’

Stefan is expected to reveal some preliminary data from his research at the Centre of Exercise Acativity and Rehabilitation, University of Greenwich, on the effects of microcurrent and exercise. The abstract will be published in an online supplement within volume 57 of Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise® (MSSE), specific to this annual meeting, and it will be open to read by everyone after the conference.

The Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy is extreemly proud to be represented at the ACSM Annual Meeting by our founder, Dr Stefan, and we wish him the very best of luck for this scientific event, as well as for the sports activities within the event including the famous Gisolfi 5k run.
