GROUPS FOR CHILDREN
General gymnastics classes in KENSINGTON at St Philip’s Church W8 6QH for children (6-11 years of age) in very small groups (only 8 students in a class) with one of the best coach-student ratio (1:4) for group classes in London, so that each student receives the attention, guidance and support they need to excel in their gymnastics journey.

General gymnastics class for adults in KENSINGTON at St Philip’s Church W8 6QH. Enjoy very small groups (only 8 students in a class) with a coach-student ratio (1:4), so that each person receives the attention, guidance and support they need.
PERSONAL LESSONS
We also provide personal gymnastics lessons for children (5-11 years of age) or adults at the Kensington Studio W8 6JP delivered by the London Gymnastics Champion, coach Stefan.

General gymnastics classes for children (6-11 years of age) in KNIGHTSBRIDGE at More House School SW1X 0AA in very small groups (only 8 students in a class) with a bespoke coach-student ratio of 1:4, so that each gymnast receives the attention, guidance and support they deserve.
How to Join?
1. BOOK AN ASSESSMENT TRIAL SESSION
Please contact us and book an assessment trial session. Sessions must be booked and paid in advance via bank transfer, and they are non-refundable or transferable. The cost of a trial group session is £25, and a single personal lesson is £80. Before booking, please look at our fees and terms & conditions here.
2. AFTER THE ASSESSMENT
After the trial class, we will be able to tell you if this class is suitable for you (your child). Then you can become a member and join the group class by paying the rest of the term fee. You will also need to make a registration on the British Gymnastics website and pay £24 fee for your (your child’s) gymnastics insurance.
If you decide to go for personal lessons, they can be booked at the weekend and sometimes on a week day. Before booking a lesson, please check out our fees and terms & conditions here.

Group Classes are 50 min, and they are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday during school term. Class #3 is for adults, and the other classes are for 6-11-year-old children. All groups are limited to only 8 students in a class with one of the best coach-student ratio of 1:4.
Personal lessons are held at The Kensington Studio (W8 6JP) and in client's homes at the weekends and some week days.
We are a relatively small gymnastics club, and therefore, we are unable to cater to students with learning difficulties and disabilities. However, if you contact British Gymnastics, they should be able to help you find a club that caters to students with specific requirements.

STEFAN
DIRECTOR & COACH
Dr Stefan Kolimechkov is the Director and Founder of the Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy. Coach Stefan has 15 years experience coaching children at all levels, ages and abilities in Bulgaria and the United Kingdom. He holds a QTS, Level 3 UKCC in gymnastics, Chartered Activity and Health Practitioner status, Fellow status of the ECSS, and a PhD in Physical Education with his Doctoral thesis on the benefits of gymnastics at primary school age. Stefan is also 3 x London Gymnastics Champion on Rings.
LAWRENCE
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Lawrence joined the Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy in October 2024. He is an exercise scientist who believes in taking a multidisciplinary approach to improve sport performance. He graduated from the University of Bath in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science. Currently, he is completing his Master’s degree in Sport Science from the University of Konstanz. He has experience coaching young athletes with various levels of ability in a range of different sporting environments. Having competed in high level regional sport, he understands the discipline and commitment required to achieve a desired sporting outcome.
MARY-ANNE
WELFARE OFFICER
Mary-Anne Gordon has been the Club Secretary / Manager and Deputy Welfare Officer at Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy since 2022, and our Club Welfare Officer since 2024. She helps uphold safeguarding standards of the club and ensures that the values of the club are embedded. She brings a wealth of experience to the club having worked with various age groups in London. Her qualifications include a Bachelor's of Education degree, QTS, and Designated Safeguard Lead Training.
ROZALIA
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Rozalia joined the Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy in October 2024, bringing extensive experience in both TeamGym and artistic gymnastics. A dedicated and accomplished athlete, she competed at the British TeamGym Championships in 2024, securing a gold medal with her team. With seven years of TeamGym experience, Rozalia has consistently excelled, winning multiple golds against teams across the UK. In artistic gymnastics, she brings a further six years of training and competition experience, having won numerous competitions, and she continues to train actively. Passionate about continuous improvement, both hers and the gymnasts Rozalia regularly trains to further refine her skills and techniques.
KSENIIA
CLUB PHOTOGRAPHER
Kseniia has been our club’s photographer since 2022. She captured wonderful images at our Christmas, Easter, and Halloween sessions, as well as the Annual Performance at the Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics. Bringing a blend of creativity and professionalism, Kseniia captures the real, spontaneous moments that make our gymnastics events so special. With years of experience and a background in photography, her style focuses on natural light and genuine emotion.

Terms & Conditions
Please read our Terms & Conditions before booking a lesson.
Cancellation Policy
Fees for the Group Classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies for Personal Sessions. If you cancel within 48 hours from the start of the personal session, you will still be charged for the lesson and no refund will be offered (cancellations must be made via email: dr.stefan.kolimechkov@gmail.com or text/call: 07 999 578 700).
Payments
All trial sessions must be booked and paid for in advance via bank transfer. Upon acceptance in one of our group classes, full term payments must be made to secure your child's place. All fees are non-refundable.
Missed Sessions
Missed sessions or cancellations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Class Space Guarantee
Session Duration
Group classes last 50 minutes. Personal lessons are 45 minutes for children aged 5-6, and 60 minutes for older children and adults.
General Terms
By booking a session, you agree to these terms and conditions and our club rules (listed below). Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics reserves the right to make changes to the schedule and terms as needed. We have a zero tolerance policy for abusive or argumentative behaviour of any kind to our staff. Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics reserves all rights to refuse entry.
Club Rules
PARENTS
- Please arrive on time for the start of the class. Arriving more than 10 minutes late to a class will result in your child being unable to join in with the class for health and safety purposes.
- Please ensure your child has used the toilet and has water prior to the class.
- Make sure that you provided us with the most up to date contact details, medical info, etc.
- You are allowed to watch your child but please do not make phone calls, speak too loudly, or make noise if you decide to stay in the gymnastics hall.
- Pictures and videos are not allowed to be taken (unless during Parent viewing week).
GYMNASTS
- Treat your peers, coaches and other gymnasts with respect.
- Hair tied back.
- Jewellery must not be worn during classes. No makeup.
- Chewing gum, food and drinks (apart from water) is not permitted in the hall.
- Gymnasts must not leave the gymnasium without an adult.
- Be dressed correctly, club T-shirt and shorts, or joggers/leggings, tracksuit bottoms. Please do not wear jeans, hoodies or similar attire.
- No socks/shoes on mats.
- Only attempt gymnastics skills which have been instructed by the coaches.
