The Houses

At Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy (KCGA), every gymnast belongs to a House — a small, supportive community inspired by the traditional House system found in London’s most respected schools.

Rather than labelling our group classes as “Class 1” or “Class 2,” each class is given its own House identity, such as Kensington House, Chelsea House, Belgravia House, or Knightsbridge House. These names reflect the neighbourhoods of West London and help create a sense of pride, belonging, and continuity for every child who trains with us.

Each House represents more than just a class. It is a place where children feel recognised, supported, and part of something meaningful — from their very first session through their ongoing development at KCGA.

A Boutique Approach, Rooted in Community

All KCGA group classes currently take place at carefully selected venues in Kensington and Chelsea.

The House names are symbolic, chosen to reflect the communities we serve and to create a warm, boutique experience where every gymnast feels connected — not anonymous. While locations remain centralised, the House system allows families from across West London to feel represented and welcomed.

Whether you live in Kensington, Chelsea, Belgravia, Westminster, Knightsbridge, South Kensington, Earl’s Court, Holland Park, Hammersmith, Fulham, or Abingdon, your child can find a House that feels like home at KCGA.

For families seeking a more personalised experience, we also offer private one-to-one sessions at home within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

More Than Classes — A Shared Journey

Throughout the year, the House system forms the foundation of KCGA’s community spirit.

Houses come together through:

  • Friendly challenges and shared goals

  • Team spirit and encouragement

  • Special recognition and awards

This includes the Academy’s most prestigious honour — KCGA Gymnast of the Year, awarded to gymnasts who demonstrate dedication, progress, and outstanding attitude.

Being part of a House helps every gymnast feel valued, motivated, and proud of their journey, both individually and as part of the wider KCGA family.
