Ages 7–11
Develop strength, flexibility, body control and suitable floor progressions with an emphasis on technique and gradual development.
Ages 10+
Refine strength, control and technical consistency through progressively more challenging work at an appropriate individual pace.

Why Kensington is the flagship
KCGA’s widest published children’s programme
Kensington brings together all three children’s age stages across three teaching days, with the greatest choice of published weekly times in the KCGA group-class timetable.
Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
Ten published weekly class times give Kensington families the broadest timetable choice within KCGA’s children’s group programme.
Foundation through 10+
Kensington is the only published KCGA location currently showing dedicated 10+ sessions alongside the 4–6 and 7–11 groups.
Structured, child-centred coaching
Progressions are selected for age, readiness and ability, without turning a class pathway into a guaranteed result.

Which days do children’s classes run in Kensington?

Can a complete beginner attend?
Yes. Previous gymnastics experience is not required. A trial lets the child experience the environment and helps KCGA confirm the most suitable available Kensington class.
How much is a Kensington trial?
The published trial fee is £40. New children normally attend a trial before enrolling for the remainder of a school term.

The published fee is £480 for a 12-week term. New gymnasts also require annual British Gymnastics insurance, currently published as £24 and paid separately to British Gymnastics.
What should my child wear?
For a trial, use comfortable sports clothing that allows free movement, remove jewellery and bring water. Once enrolled, the KCGA club T-shirt is compulsory for regular classes and is worn with appropriate sports bottoms. Gymnasts representing KCGA in competitions may optionally wear the KCGA leotard instead of the T-shirt during classes.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Published KCGA terms state that missed group classes cannot be carried over or refunded. Review the current terms before confirming a place.
What if our preferred Kensington class is full?
KCGA can discuss another suitable Kensington time or add your family to the waiting list and contact you when a place becomes available.
Are the Kensington classes drop-in sessions?
No. The regular programme is booked by school term. The £40 trial is the introductory session used before term enrolment.
Does KCGA also offer adult gymnastics in Kensington?
Yes. Adult group and one-to-one services are separate from this children’s location page. Visit the adult group-classes page or the adult personal-lessons hub.
