Become a KCGA Junior Ambassador
An exceptional opportunity for a KCGA gymnast to represent their academy, grow in confidence and communication, and become part of KCGA Junior Ambassador history.
KCGA is preparing to select its inaugural Junior Ambassador for a calendar-year appointment in 2027. Character, enthusiasm, reliability and a genuine voice matter more than gymnastics ability alone.
- A first for KCGAThe inaugural Junior Ambassador will begin a new academy tradition.
- 2027 calendar yearA formal appointment, not a one-term role.
- Rolling applicationsApplications are considered until KCGA is ready to make the inaugural appointment.
A new honour within the KCGA community
The Junior Ambassador title recognises a young gymnast’s character, communication and ability to represent KCGA positively—not simply who can perform the most advanced skills.
What is a KCGA Junior Ambassador?
A recognised young representative who helps share the experience, values and joy of gymnastics through selected academy activities and media.
A gymnast first
The Junior Ambassador is not an employee, coach, supervisor or safeguarding officer. The child is never responsible for other gymnasts or academy operations.
More than a title
The inaugural appointment brings together formal recognition, personal development, complimentary training and a lasting place in KCGA’s story.
A calendar year of representation
The selected gymnast holds the official title throughout 2027 and takes part in approved, age-appropriate opportunities to represent the academy.
Confidence and communication
Supportive opportunities to speak, reflect and communicate naturally in the child’s own voice.
Official recognition
A ceremonial certificate and official KCGA T-shirt with an embroidered Junior Ambassador designation.
Three terms of training
One regular weekly KCGA group class in Spring, Summer and Autumn 2027.
Part of KCGA history
The inaugural Junior Ambassador will be recognised as the first holder of this new KCGA honour, creating a record for future generations of KCGA gymnasts.
Sharing gymnastics in a child’s own voice
Activities may include short interviews, appropriate photography or video, explaining what a class is learning, reflecting on progress, welcoming new gymnasts, or contributing to selected KCGA features and events.
There is no fixed weekly content quota. Filming should be brief, planned where possible and secondary to safe gymnastics coaching.
“What have you enjoyed learning recently?”
“What helped you keep trying?”
“What would you say to someone trying gymnastics?”
Current KCGA child members
There is no fixed age requirement for the inaugural programme. KCGA considers each child individually, including their maturity, communication, enthusiasm and suitability for the role, with the support of a parent or legal guardian.
- Regular attendance and reliable participation.
- Positive behaviour and respectful relationships.
- Genuine enthusiasm for gymnastics and KCGA.
- Comfort communicating briefly without undue pressure.
- Interest in approved photography, video and audio, while retaining the right to decline an individual request.
- Expected continued KCGA membership during the 2027 appointment.
Character, enthusiasm and a genuine voice
The strongest gymnast is not automatically the strongest Junior Ambassador. This honour recognises a different form of achievement.
