Why KCGA publishes beyond the gym

Helping families understand the journey—not only attend a class

KCGA’s goal is to help children build confidence, develop outstanding gymnastics skills and discover a lifelong love of movement. Families are better able to support that journey when reliable knowledge is clear and accessible.

“KCGA exists not only to teach gymnastics, but to help families understand it.”

Children and families first

Resources begin with useful questions about safety, development, enjoyment, confidence and opportunity.

Evidence made clear

Research, professional interpretation and practical coaching experience are explained in accessible language.

Useful in real life

Guidance is shaped around the decisions families make at home, in class and across everyday London life.

Built to remain useful

Issues, episodes and updates form a growing public archive that families can revisit over time.

Keep independent education accessible

Help high-quality resources stay free for families

Researching, writing, recording, designing and preserving this library takes time. KCGA selectively welcomes sponsorship and partnership conversations with organisations that share its commitment to children’s wellbeing, education and safe, evidence-informed physical activity.

Editorial independence stays non-negotiable. Appropriate support is identified transparently and does not determine topics, evidence, conclusions or recommendations.

Resource library questions

Using KCGA’s resources

Are all KCGA resources free?

Most family-facing resources on this page are free to read, watch, listen to or download. KCGA’s professional sports software is paid and is kept in a separate, clearly labelled section so visitors can distinguish the public knowledge library from products.

Where should a parent begin?

Start with the KCGA Academy when you have one practical question. Choose Kensington Gymnastics Magazine for a deeper explanation, the Podcast when you prefer audio or video, and the Newsletter or Monthly Video Updates when you want to follow academy life.

Who creates the KCGA resources?

The library is founder-led by Dr Stefan Kolimechkov and draws on KCGA’s coaching practice, sport-science work and specialist contributions where relevant. Individual articles, issues and episodes identify their own authorship or editorial context.

Can I share or download a resource?

You are welcome to share links to public KCGA pages and use the download options KCGA provides. For reproduction, republishing, commercial use or organisational distribution, please follow the site terms or contact KCGA for permission.

Do these resources replace coaching or medical advice?

No. KCGA’s resources provide general educational information. They do not replace qualified gymnastics coaching, individual medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or appropriate supervision.

Can an organisation sponsor the resource library?

KCGA selectively welcomes conversations with suitable organisations that share its educational and child-wellbeing values. Visit Support KCGA to see the available partnership routes and begin an appropriate conversation.

One useful place to start
