Can a complete beginner attend?
Yes. Previous gymnastics experience is not required. A trial lets the child experience the environment and helps KCGA confirm the most suitable available Chelsea class.
How much is a Chelsea trial?
The published trial fee is £40. New children normally attend a trial before enrolling for the remainder of a school term.
What are the term and insurance fees?
The published fee is £480 for a 12-week term. New gymnasts also require annual British Gymnastics insurance, currently published as £24 and paid separately to British Gymnastics.
What should my child wear?
For a trial, use comfortable sports clothing that allows free movement, remove jewellery and bring water. Once enrolled, the KCGA club T-shirt is compulsory for regular classes and is worn with appropriate sports bottoms. Gymnasts representing KCGA in competitions may optionally wear the KCGA leotard instead of the T-shirt during classes.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Published KCGA terms state that missed group classes cannot be carried over or refunded. Review the current terms before confirming a place.
What if our preferred Chelsea class is full?
KCGA can discuss another suitable Chelsea time or add your family to the waiting list and contact you when a place becomes available.
Are the Chelsea classes drop-in sessions?
No. The regular programme is booked by school term. The £40 trial is the introductory session used before term enrolment.
Does KCGA also offer adult gymnastics?
