Terms of Use

The rules for using the Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy website, educational resources, magazine content, videos and other public materials.

START HERE

Website terms—not coaching terms

These Terms of Use apply to the public KCGA website and its content. They do not replace the separate contractual terms governing bookings, fees, attendance, cancellations or coaching services.

01WHO WE ARE

Website operator

This website is operated by Kensington & Chelsea Gymnastics Academy Ltd (“KCGA”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14181797. Our registered office is Niddry Lodge, 51 Holland Street, London W8 7JB.

Questions about this website or permission to use KCGA material may be sent through our Contact page.

02ACCESS

Using the website

By accessing or using this website, you agree to use it consistently with these Terms of Use and applicable law. If you do not agree, you should stop using the website.

You may browse the website and use its publicly available content for lawful personal and non-commercial purposes, subject to the intellectual-property conditions below. Additional terms may apply to a particular download, event, competition, research project or service and will be identified separately.

Parents and guardians: where a child uses this website, please supervise their use and help them understand that online guidance is not a substitute for appropriate coaching or individual professional advice.
03INFORMATION

Educational content and research communication

KCGA is a gymnastics academy and publishes evidence-informed articles, parent guides, research summaries, presentations, podcasts, videos and the Kensington Gymnastics Magazine. We aim to communicate carefully and keep material accurate at the time of publication.

Website content is provided for general information and education. It is not medical, physiotherapy, psychological, nutritional, legal or other individual professional advice, and it should not be treated as a diagnosis, prescription or personal training programme.

Knowledge, research and professional guidance develop over time. A publication may remain in our archive as a record of what was published at that date even where later information develops or qualifies the subject.

04MOVE SAFELY

Health, safety and physical activity

Gymnastics and physical exercise involve inherent risks, including the possibility of falls, collision, overexertion or injury. Do not attempt a skill merely because it appears on this website or in KCGA media.

  • Use suitable space, equipment, clothing, progression and competent supervision.
  • Children should not attempt gymnastics skills without appropriate adult and coaching supervision.
  • Stop if an activity causes pain, dizziness, unusual discomfort or concern.
  • Seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional where a health condition, injury, pregnancy or other individual circumstance may affect safe participation.

Nothing on this page changes the duties or safety arrangements that apply when KCGA itself provides a booked coaching service.

05KCGA CONTENT

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, copyright and other intellectual-property rights in KCGA’s website text, original graphics, photographs, videos, audio, lesson resources, research communication, magazine design, branding and downloadable material belong to KCGA, the identified author or another rights holder who has authorised their use.

You may view the website and download or print a reasonable extract for private, non-commercial reference. This limited permission does not transfer ownership and does not allow you to:

  • republish, reproduce, sell, license or commercially exploit KCGA content;
  • copy substantial parts of the website, magazine or resource library;
  • remove an author credit, copyright notice, logo or source attribution;
  • alter material in a misleading way or imply KCGA endorsement;
  • use KCGA photographs or recordings to train an artificial-intelligence model, create synthetic media or identify a person; or
  • use the KCGA name, logos or visual identity without written permission.
Quoting KCGA: fair and lawful quotation with clear attribution and a link to the original page may be permitted by law. For teaching packs, publications, commercial use or substantial reproduction, please obtain written permission first.
06MAGAZINE AND MEDIA

Publications, archives and downloads

Magazines, newsletters, reports, posters, podcasts, videos and other completed works may remain available as part of KCGA’s educational, editorial and historical archive. The date and context of the complete publication should be preserved when it is referenced.

Downloads are supplied for their stated purpose. You are responsible for checking that a file is suitable for your device and intended use. Third-party papers, quotations, images and logos remain subject to the rights and conditions of their respective owners.

07CONTACTING US

Material sent to KCGA

If you send KCGA feedback, an enquiry, a testimonial, an article proposal, photographs or other material, you confirm that you are entitled to send it and that it does not infringe another person’s rights. Sending material does not automatically give KCGA permission to publish it publicly.

Any proposed publication, research participation, testimonial or identifiable media use remains subject to the relevant information, permissions and privacy arrangements. Please do not send confidential, detailed medical or safeguarding information through a public comment, general form or social-media channel.

08RESPONSIBLE USE

Acceptable use

You must not knowingly:

  • use the website unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm, threaten, harass or exploit another person;
  • attempt unauthorised access to the website, server, accounts, forms or connected systems;
  • introduce malware, malicious code, excessive automated requests or activity that disrupts the website;
  • scrape, harvest or compile personal information from the website;
  • misrepresent your identity or relationship with KCGA; or
  • frame, mirror or present KCGA content in a way that creates confusion about its source.

KCGA may restrict access, preserve relevant evidence and report activity where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, children, KCGA or another person.

09OTHER PROVIDERS

External links and embedded services

The website may link to or display services operated by other organisations, including YouTube, Google Maps, social-media platforms, journals, professional bodies, venues and event providers. A link is provided for convenience or context and does not necessarily mean KCGA endorses everything on that service.

Third-party services control their own availability, content, accessibility, security, privacy practices and terms. Please review their information before relying on them or providing personal information.

10WEBSITE OPERATION

Availability, accessibility and security

KCGA aims to keep the website useful, secure and accessible, but does not promise that every page, feature or download will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. We may maintain, update, suspend, withdraw or change website content and functionality.

Please tell us if you encounter an accessibility barrier, suspected security issue, inaccurate material or broken resource so that we can consider an appropriate response. Do not misuse or publicly disclose a suspected vulnerability in a way that creates additional risk.

11LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibility and liability

KCGA takes reasonable care when preparing website content. However, general information cannot account for every person, condition or circumstance. You remain responsible for decisions made using publicly available content and for obtaining appropriate individual advice or supervision where needed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KCGA is not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, arose from misuse of the website, resulted from reliance on third-party content, or was caused by an event outside KCGA’s reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing affects mandatory consumer rights.

12PERSONAL INFORMATION

Privacy, cookies and external media

KCGA’s Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected and used, including website analytics, forms, cookies, embedded content and privacy choices. The website’s Privacy choices control allows available optional preferences to be reviewed or changed.

External media and links may connect your device to another provider. That provider’s own privacy information and terms may then apply.

13FINAL PROVISIONS

Changes, governing law and contact

KCGA may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes to the website, publications, technology or legal requirements. The current version and update date will be published on this page. A material change will not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen.

These Terms and any non-contractual dispute relating to website use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although a consumer living elsewhere retains any right under applicable law to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.
