Simple and personal

How joining works

There is no automated placement system. KCGA considers each enquiry and recommends the most appropriate available option.

  1. 1

    Tell us about the gymnast

Share their age, previous experience, coaching interest, preferred location and suitable days or times.

  2. 2

    Receive a recommendation

KCGA will confirm the most suitable available class or coaching arrangement and explain the relevant fee.

  3. 3

    Attend the starting session

Group-class gymnasts normally begin with a £40 trial. Personal and home coaching begin with the agreed lesson.

  4. 4

    Confirm the ongoing place

If the route is suitable and space is available, KCGA will provide payment and joining information for the term or coaching package.

For new group-class gymnasts

A £40 trial is the best first step

The trial introduces the gymnast to the class environment and coaching approach, while helping KCGA assess whether the selected group is suitable.

Please note: A trial booking does not guarantee an ongoing place. Enrolment depends on suitability and current availability. Regular group gymnasts also need the applicable British Gymnastics membership and insurance, arranged and paid separately.

Kensington, Knightsbridge, South Kensington and Chelsea

Group classes run at selected venues during school terms. Personal coaching locations and home visits are confirmed individually. Always check the venue for your booked session before travelling.

Common joining questions

Clear answers to the practical questions families and adult gymnasts ask most often.

Can complete beginners join KCGA?

Yes. KCGA welcomes beginners as well as gymnasts with previous experience. The right starting route depends on age, goals, suitability and current availability.

What happens if my preferred group is full?

KCGA may suggest another suitable day or location. Where appropriate, you can ask to be considered for a waiting list and contacted if a place becomes available.

Do I have to commit to a term before trying a group class?

No. New group-class gymnasts normally attend a £40 trial first. If the class is suitable and a place is available, KCGA will then explain enrolment for the term.

Where can I check every price and booking rule?

The Fees page contains the complete current prices. Before booking, please also read the Coaching Terms & Conditions.
